Hanne Lise Thomsen is an artist based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her works are driven by two passions: one directed at the atmospheric site of the city, and the other mobilised against oppression. One is aesthetic, the other political. Yet they are intricately intertwined, because urban spaces are formed not only by architectural structures, but also by political negotiations. Becoming visible in urban space is about occupying and shaping that space.
